The General Lee is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. It had a 440 V8 Magnum, the transmission had a Chrysler Torqueflite A-727, Carburator had a 4 Barrel and a Holley 650 Double Pump. It also had a Tan Interior, an automatic transmission and some of them even had a 4-speed! It also had an awsome Confederate flag on the roof and a CB antenna the truck. And of course it had 01 painted on the doors, the doors we supposed to be welded shut but, Warner Brothers did not actully have this. In a few eposides, about 1 or 2, you can see the doors being opened by the Dukes Boys, but most of the other times they had to enter The General by the windows! Licence Plate (Georgia AND who can also forget the horn that played the first 11 bars of Dixie! (These horns are being sold in a catalog called JC Whitney Auto Parts for about $59.95) They used 200 1969 Dodge Chargers throught the show. The show lasted from 1979 to 1985. Warner Brothers had 19 original General Lees left when they stopped making the show. They sold 17 off o locations(Warner Brothers, Car Owners) REMEMBER: This page is always under consrtuction!
